Advantages of V-ribbed belt

Multi wedge belt, also known as multi groove belt and multi groove belt, refers to an annular rubber transmission belt with flat belt as the base and trapezoidal wedges with equal spacing of 40 ° in longitudinal direction arranged on the inner surface, also known as a composite V-belt. Compared with V-belt, the advantages of multi wedge belt are as follows:
1. Higher transmission efficiency
The belt body of the V-ribbed belt is thin and wide. Because the belt body is thin, the pressure it receives during operation is small, and the heat value is correspondingly reduced. The wide belt body ensures the effective contact between the V-belt and the pulley, so that the load distribution is more uniform and the bearing force is higher, which makes the transmission efficiency of the V-belt higher than that of the V-belt;
2. Compact transmission system
Its unique design ensures that the space occupied by the transmission device is 25% smaller than that of the V-belt at the same transmission power.
3. More stable transmission
In general, for medium and large transmission systems, the equipment often drives several V-belts together. Sometimes, in the process of multi belt transmission, each V-belt is forced separately, resulting in uneven length after a long time, which affects the transmission efficiency. The design of multi wedge belt and multi slot effectively avoids such problems. Even in the case of transient overload, the multi wedge belt can drive smoothly, which is an unavoidable problem of traditional V-belt.
4. No elongation and longer service life
The multi wedge belt is the same as the synchronous belt. The steel wire rope or polyester wire rope with small elongation at break and high compressive strength and fatigue resistance limit is selected as the strength layer, and the outer side is wrapped with vulcanized rubber or polyurethane. Especially polyurethane multi wedge belt, due to its light weight, high compressive strength, good oil resistance and wear resistance, high friction coefficient, and better transmission effect.
